Release Registered Sensor

I have a used sensor from a friend which I would like to register under my account

I already emailed contact@sensor.community
and posted in Sensor ID is already registered

Would it be possible to release esp8266-717887?

Is there a better way to do this?
Sorry for being impatient!

Edit: The account which was used to register the sensor is not available.

There is an option to hand over the sensor, see
https://devices.sensor.community/sensors

This way, you don’t have to reregister it.

This doesn’t always work: if your friend enters an incorrect e-mail address for the new owner of the sensor, you can no longer recover. Usually this works fine, just be careful to enter the correct data, don’t throw away e-mail before the transfer is complete, check your SPAM folder, etc.

Thank you for your answer!
Unfortunately, my friend also forgot his login data, so it is necessary to release the device.

You can Transfer a sensor in devices.sensor.community. But use the right address.

The account which was used to register the sensor is not available, unfortunately.

I’ve released the chipID.

ciao ho problemi con il sensore 5572053 e 8795226 puoi aiutarmi x fvr

Hi I have problems with sensor 5572053 and 8795226 can you help me

Hello @Fabrizio_Colazzo ,
it would be helpful if we knew what kind of problem you have. Otherwise ist difficult to tell you if we can help …

(This answers also your email.)

I deleted the registration of these two sensors from my sensors and now I would like to register them again. The ID won’t let me.

@Fabrizio_Colazzo did you change anything on these devices that you needed to delete them?
Because there was a warning at deletion that you will be unable to use the chipID again.

(And no, re-registering the chipID of an esp8266 system as an esp32 won’t work …)

Yes, I had to replace a module and I deleted it. I did it wrong. Can it be restored?

Hi @Fabrizio_Colazzo , I’ve restored both device registrations.

Fantastic! Thank you so much! I’ve made similar mistakes in the past. I don’t understand why it doesn’t appear on the map. Sensor 5572053

Hi @Fabrizio_Colazzo ,
the device seems to send PM data, but the DHT22 data is missing (is a temperature sensor connected?).
The PM data is shown on the map at the moment:
https://maps.sensor.community/#15/40.0880/18.3020 (map ID of your sensor is 51746).

You were very kind, my sensor is working great now. The DHT22 module isn’t working yet, but I’ll try.

I’m also having problems with this ID: 7999588. It’s the same mistake I made in the past when I deleted it. Can you please reset it?

The registration for this chipID Is restored.

:grimacing: ID: 11911224 . It’s the same mistake I made in the past when I deleted it. Can you please reset it?

Hi @Fabrizio_Colazzo this device (11911224) wasn’t deleted. It should be listed in your account.

Hello, I’m doing a school project using the sensor number esp32-05613C. As they do this project every year with the same devices, I can’t register it in my name.

Would it be possible to release this sensor so that i can use it on my project ?

Ideally i would need this to be done fast as we have limited time for the project.

Thank you for your consideration

Hello @Aurelien_POLINE ,

are you sure about the type of the NodeMCU (esp32)? The default in our project is the esp8266.
And you should have the chipID either in decimal for esp8266 or a longer hex for esp32.
