How to send sensor data without airrohr-firmware?

Hello,

I’m running a weather station with some sensors - some of them are a sps30 and a bme280.
I became aware of the sensor.community project and would like to send my sensor data to your server.
I need for that a description of the transfer protocol - I suspect http(s) with JSON and some sort of authentication.
Where can I get such a description?
