I have noticed over the last few days that the measurements have been getting lower and today even showed 0. I first thought that it was hardware damage. When I checked the system, I could see that a spider had made itself comfortable in the hose along with its prey and cocoon.
Is there any way to protect the opening of the hose against insects?
Some fine wire mesh should do the trick.
If it should be a solution off the shelf:
Look for a suction filter with the right dimensions.
Hi. I’ve noticed this too for all the sensors in our town and we don’t have any spiders lurking in hoses. I’ve checked random sensors across Europe on the map and the vast majority are giving remarkably low readings (PM2.5 in the 0-1 range)… Has yours given more realistic readings since you ejected the spider? Thanks
