Hi
I have build an air quality sensor from 2 PMSA003 sensors connected to an Intel NUC PC running Debian. This is the design used by air purple for their outdoor sensors. I am using Python open-source software to read data from both sensors. To register my sensors, I have tried to use the CPU serial ID and the machine UUID, but I always get this error: " This sensor ID is already registered."
Is it possible to register my sensors with this community ?
thank you
Bogdan
Hello @Cristea_Bogdan , could you give me the ID you want to use and the prefix (model) you’ve selected? Then I can check this.
Maybe we need to add this manually as you may block another user by selecting a model plus an existing chipID.
Hi @ricki-z
Thank you for your reply. Here is the ID I would like to use as sensor ID:
648934889097091026
The prefix: NUC
The sensor board when the sensor is registered (devices.sensor.community | user configuration) does not contain a generic PC type, maybe it could be added.
regards
Bogdan
Hi @Cristea_Bogdan , could you please check your account at devices.sensor.community?
There should be a new “device” with 3 components.
2 PMSA003 for which you should use X-PIN 1 and X-PIN 2 when sending data. And a third just in case that you want to add a temperature sensor later.
Hi @ricki-z
My node appears now in my devices. You guessed right, I’ll add also a BME688 sensor for temperature/pressure/humidity/gas sensing. For now, I have to choose from the available list the closest sensor type, i.e. PMS7003 (instead of PMSA003) and BME288 (instead of BME688). If possible, please add the new sensor types in that list. Also, I plan to add a noise detector and UV light sensor (LTR390).
thank you
Bogdan
In our database I had set the “new” type PMSA003 for your sensors …
It’s only the site devices.sensor.community that doesn’t recognize this type.
(And for the BME688, some of the values of the sensor aren’t really useful for comparison between different locations.)
I’m on holiday for two weeks starting tomorrow. So answers here may be delayed.
When I try to change the hardware configuration here:
I get “Internal Server Error” when I try to save the settings
