Problems with flashing

Dear Luftdaten,

I cannot get the Nodemcu v2 flashed.
I updated the drivers.
And I connected the Nodemcuv2 with the usb cable.
In the window of airrohr flasher it says at the bottom: “no device selected” when I click “upload.”

Dear Cleanair,

Please provide some more information. What version of operating system do you use. Have you tried to use different USB cable?

Tried a different cable and it was done in a flash…

Some USB cables are power only (especially charging cables in bundle with wireless headphones and some power banks). Only 5V and GND without data lines.

That seems to be the problem then. The first cable charged multiple devices just fine, but could not make the nodemcuv2 visible.
