Livetime SDS011 rather poor?

@pjg : Well it does not degrade over the course of a year or longer and works fine with a new SDS011 for some months.
I personally believe the SDS011 has some kind of internal “counter” or intended breaking point to break after an estimated number of runs.

I don’t think that’s true. People are running these sensors for many years without any apparent issue.

What’s the orientation of the sensor in your setup?

I also got low readings all of a sudden. Reboots didn’t help. Decided to inspect the sensor at last and found the tube all the way blocked by… the nest of mason bee:

Since bees are our friends I disconnected the tube and put it back where I had it mounted. The SenseBox has a nice solution to prevent this from happening but I don’t really mind so the replacement tube will be open as well. Just make sure to check your tubes every once in a while!
