Duration router mode

Hello I would like some help and advice on the duration of the router mode please.
The duration of the router mode currently is not long enough. I am using a router that takes a couple of minutes to setup during boot up. However the airrohr-id AP becomes available after about 30 seconds. Should it not wait for the default 600 seconds? Any advice would be very welcome. Thank you very much. Best regards.

After (re)boot the sensor tries to connect to the configured SSID a few times. If that fails it enters AP mode for 600 seconds. During this time it won’t try to connect to the configured SSID, it just waits in AP mode. After 600 seconds it should go into client mode again and will then keep trying to connect to the configured SSID (AFAIK).

So effectively after 600 seconds and assuming your router is then up and running the sensor should be connected again.

If the sensor would try to connect to a configured SSID for 600 seconds before going to AP-mode that would mean you always would have to wait 10 minutes before you can reconfigure a sensor.

Thank you for your useful reply.

I had a simular experience after an unscheduled power down last week. (Short by cutting the cord of the hedge trimmer :grinning:) The WiFi came up after the sensor and so it went into AP mode.
The remedy? Do nothing, after 600 seconds (or the configured alternate time) it will leave AP mode and reconnect.
