Can the transistor S9012 be replaced with S9014?

Hello everyone! I have a question that I want to ask your guys. I have a small radio (Japanese) transistor (S9012 H331). It became very hot when it was turned on. It seems to be broken. I want to use a S9014 C512(Tecsun) to replace it. May I? Any expert please advise. Thanks in advance!
