Hello, Is there a module to replace the NodeMCU with a module compatible with a 5 Ghz router? The wifi signal is very good at 5 Ghz, but very bad at 2 Ghz.
There is no module compatible with 5GHz that we support. You can try to use a Raspberry, there are scripts to send data to our API for the Raspberry.
Thank you very much for answering me. Why don’t you support an alternative? Is it a question of philosophy? I am not an expert, but I would like to understand, because I like your approach.
Modules with 5GHz support are much more expensive, I think because of license and certification costs.
Regarding the support of different modules, we are a volunteered project with limited resources. The most limited is time ![]()
Okay, I get it. I don’t know much about programming, otherwise I would have wanted to help you. I am a manager in several associations and unions, so I know that time is the most expensive resource! I looked for an equivalent, I think the Arduino ESP32-S3 board could be suitable, but I will have to ask the seller how I can replace the MCU module with this component. It may be a bit complicated. Thanks!
Please take a look on your choice. It also supports only 2.4 GHz …
indeed, I read the instructions you sent me. Thank you for taking the time to check. I came across this product while searching for “Raspberry”. I need to ask a seller to advise me on an exact replacement reference.
I don’t know if we can send a link on this site, but this is the product I was talking about. https://www.kubii.com/fr/cartes-micro-controleurs/4174-arduino-nano-esp32-avec-header-7630049203969.html
It’s the same module. Go to connectivity, the 4th point says ’ * Émetteur/récepteur 2,4 GHz’.
Thank you very much. I feel like it’s going to be complicated. But I’m going to try to find a module that allows me to be on the map and use wifi for my other devices. It’s important for me to continue being part of the project.
