# Esp32 as base possible?

Can the software be installed also on a esp32 wroom 32d? Or only on esp8266 as written in the documentation?

I have several of this devices laying around but 8266 I would need to order.

Welcome !  
There is a firmware version for the ESP32.

But you will need to flash it with Platformio. It can’t be flashed with the flasher.
